About Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Society of Yukon (FASSY)
Learn about our mission, values, and the people behind FASSY.
The Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Society Yukon (FASSY) is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to supporting individuals and families affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder throughout the Yukon. Since our founding, we have worked tirelessly to provide vital resources, education, and direct support services that empower people living with FASD to reach their full potential. Our team of compassionate professionals and community volunteers delivers a comprehensive range of programs—from our welcoming drop-in space and outreach services to housing support through our Landlords Working to End Homelessness initiative. We believe in creating environments where people with FASD can thrive, rather than focusing on "fixing" individuals. Through advocacy, education, and direct support, FASSY strives to build a more inclusive, understanding community where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. Our work spans prevention, intervention, and ongoing support, guided by the principle that with proper accommodations and understanding, individuals with FASD can lead fulfilling, connected lives.
